Practice reports still have Swoopes as the starter. Can't believe they're falling for this again. Guy must be an all American in practice. Unfortunately we all know what happens when the lights come on, just wish this coaching staff had a better memory.

For what it's worth the practice report yesterday was that the defense threw the kitchen sink of blitzes and Buechele looked the best throwing the ball.

To answer your question Robbi that's a great mystery. There were certainly a few good options out there. You'd think even just a decent option would have been worthwhile.

I believe Buechele has said that if they brought anyone else in (Kyler Murray), he would have looked elsewhere.

Ehlinger probably would have, too.

I guess the risk/reward of finding anyone appreciably better than what we have was greater than the prospect of losing one or both of those.

That's because the majority of programs have at least one other living, breathing QB on the roster besides the incoming freshman. We don't.

Charlie is going to win six games again, and he will be fired (assuming Boo isn't the outlier freshman impact QB). There is a lesson to be learned here kids ... don't hire a JV staff and then pay zero fucks to the offensive side of the ball for two years.
