Once again, I'm tired of the 75 degrees one day and 30 degrees the next nonsense. My allergies are terrible.

I do not understand people in this town. They bitch when it's cold and places don't have delayed starts/full snow days and then bitch when places turn around and have delayed starts the next day. Damned if they do and damned if they don't. Nevermind the fact that the roads were fine yesterday and they're fine today.

I thought schools would delay on Monday morning because the chance for precipitation was high and the temps we're going to drop and not rise above freezing all day. I-45 did ice over yesterday morning and there were several accidents. Our school asked us to pick up the kids early yesterday.
Last night, it was below freezing but the chance of precipitation was very low. It didn't seem like there was even a threat of ice this morning, and turns out there was not.
The school delays are quite stressful for parents who have employers who expect them to be at work. Luckily, my office called a delay too so it wasn't that big of a deal.
I'll always say better safe than sorry. Now if only I had a job that could recognize that I can do my job from home on a day like this just as well as I can from the office...
It is a waste to spend an hour and 15 minutes to come here for 4.5 hours.

I'm going to Kansas this week and I'm REALLY excited because the highs are supposed to be above freezing. F the people who decided to start a national TV sports network in New England. Would it have killed them to start it in San Diego or something?

That's funny because... Maybe it would have indeed killed it.

oh there's no doubt the growth of my company was helped by the fact that it was launched in a place nobody wanted to develop so land to expand was dirt cheap, but it's also been below zero all week at night and I'm not sure where I can put anymore snow so F those guys for real.

I have seen a cumulative total of maybe 5-6 inches of snow in my entire life.

Fuck this shit. Snowing again today and supposed to get more sleet tomorrow. I'm going to be furious if the roads get bad and I miss getting to use my bday present of Avett Brothers tickets!

I assumed it snowed a lot in Kansas, but it's snowed all day here, but less than an inch and everything is shutting down. Not sure if we're going to be able to make it from Wichita to Lawrence tomorrow in time to see Barnes bunch buttfucked at the Phog since they're supposed to get all of 3 inches of snow here and I may get stranded in KC on Sunday.

F last nights storms. Got woke up by the wether alert blasting at 11:15. Woke up turned on the TV to find several tornados had touched down around the Cleburne area and they're moving my way. Takes over and hour and a half for them to finally arrive because this was a slow moving storm. Civil defense sirens started going off about 12:45, so I got in the closet for about 10-15 minutes. Finally got out and started watching the news again. They called the all clear around 1:15, but still had some serious thunder and rain going on so I couldn't just get back to sleep. Woke up to no power this AM and exhausted from the 2.5 hour interruption in the night.
