There was one or two new events I think, but most of the old standards where there with some changes. I don't like how get 1 point for firing a weapon in the assault. I'm cool with the the Joust losers falling into a pool. The new eliminator is wicked. The first female eliminator was classic television (probably for all the wrong reasons).

I think they tried to modernize the filming style of the show too much. I just kinda wish it was like it used to be with events and none of the smoke and laser stuff which distracted me. And I thought the female Gladiators sorta sucked.
