WTF is seersucker? Or is it are seersuckers?
why don't you run back to the sandbox where the rest of the kids are playing so the adults can have a discussion...it's over there....you see Howie, he's over there with PMS knocking over other kids sandcastles...looks like fun.

It is prob only the most dominant fabric there is.

Well linen is pretty damn good too.

Go grab you a pair of seersucker shorts and you will see what I mean.

They are usually blue and white pinstripped looking, but do come in other colors.

Made to wear during the Spring and Summer (aka after Easter).

Seersucker, it is a type of cotton. It has a bit of a wrinkle look to it. Usually you see it with pastel color and very thin white stripes.

I'm pretty sure Chay has some shorts.

I have some pants too.

I came really close to buying the suit once, but decided against it.

By the way Spurrier said his dream is to one day coach in a seersucker suit. How dominant would that be.

The suits are pretty sharp.

I'm just not sure where you actually wear them. :D

Yeah I would never wear the pink seersucker, but blue or gray and I'm in.

Seersucker suits can be worn at various afternoon events during the Spring and Summer. Examples include weddings that start before 6pm, high school or college graduations (private institutions preferrably) and polo games.

If the wedding starts after 6pm, you're really pushing it. That happened to me in Charlotte two years ago. Wore my seersucker suit to a 6:30 wedding (with the white bucks of course) and was ridiculed by friends. I think they were just jealous.

Perhaps Chay and I could wear our seersucker shorts to the first tailgate next Fall? Technically that will be before Labor Day.

I'm down.

I saw some all white seersuckers shorts at the Polo Outlet not too long ago, but they didn't have my size. I'm gonna have to look into getting some of those.

Little off topic, but Arch have you ever bought any Vineyard Vines shirts. I've been wanting some, but a buddy that has a couple said the sizes vary alot so I am leary of ordering them over the internet.

I had a couple while I was in college and also had a dress one that I normally saved for the Carolina Cup. They're kinda old and beat up now with holes. I should pick some up. I used to get a chuckle out of wearing a Vineyard Vines shirt with my Nantucket Red pants.

So are the sizes really off that bad?

Carolina Cup. I haven't heard those words in quite some time.

From what has been described, I think I'm out on seersucker.

Not too bad from what I remember. I got mine when I was on the Vineyard back when they first started around my senior year.
They haven't been around long. Buddy of mine from boarding school turned me on to their clothes.

Seth, it would be *very* out of character for you to wear seersucker.

I think a requirement of owning a seersucker suit is to also have a framed portrait of Robert E. Lee hanging somewhere in your home.

Chay, Stienmart has Polo searsucker shorts on sale right now. $29.50. They have blue, pink, green and yellow I think. I picked up some blue ones Saturday, but I might go pick up two or three more pairs of blue. One for every day of the week maybe.

when I think of seersucker I think of photos of the JFK and Bobbie Kennedy playing football at their compoud, with Jackie, their sister and mother watching...

anyway, it is a cool (both visually and comfort wise) fabric IMHO
