Blue Jeans

Postby Mr. Peabody on Wed Feb 05, 2003 10:20 pm

What's a good brand of blue jeans that fit good and last?

I used to buy levi 501's relaxed fit. Lately, I have been buying the Gap's relaxed fit jeans. I don't like extra room in the thighs because I like to lift weights and don't care for a super tight fit.

I was thinking about buying a pair from Old Navy and trying them out. Anyone tried theirs. I like their pleatedKhaki shorts.

Don't tell me Wranglers. Those are for rednecks. I would never buy Wranglers.

I buy all of my blue jeans from Old Navy. They have a good selection and are cheaper and just as good as any other brand.

Old Navy is one of the best stores around. I like their khaki pleated pants too.

I don't care for Old Navy khaki's, but the only pair of jeans I own are Old navy Painter Jeans.

I'm not a big jeans guy. I'd rather wear khaki's. I have a pair of casuals from Abercrombie and a few from Express. All are flat front, though... haha.

I used to be a big fan of the cargo khaki's, but even though i have a few pair, i rarely wear them anymore.

That is Interesting!

I don't know very many people that prefer Khaki pants over Blue Jeans in casual situations. Does that mean you like to wear them to the movies and sporting events too?

I like the Old Navy khakis because they have cuffed bottoms. I don't like uncuffed pants or slacks.

Old Navy and American Eagle have a good selection and decent prices. I have a few pair of lucky jeans I like, but the cost is 3 times the amount.

i don't like cuffs in casual settings.

yeah, i'll wear khaki's to games and the movies. some things don't look all that great with khaki's though. and unfortunately, my black flip flops (which is about all i wear in the summer) don't look good with brown. so last summer, since my leather sandals were on their last leg and starting to smell like ass, i wore jeans much more frequently than khaki's.

Hell now were going to have to start a cuffed vs. uncuffed pants thread.

I like the cuffed because they look a little more dressy than uncuffed pants.

yeah, dress pants w/o cuffs are as bad as dress pants w/o pleats.

but being as i like flat-front casuals, i also like uncuffed casuals.

If I were going to wear some Khakis in place of jeans, I would probably wear a pair that were unpleated and uncuffed. However, I prefer jeans. If I'm going to wear some Khakis, I will go a head and upgrade a notch above jeans and wear some pleated and cuffed khaki pants. Afterall, They are the so called gap between wearing blue jeans and nice slacks.

Give me flat front and un-cuffed. :D

Do you people really think people notice your cuffs? Get over yourself...

If they take time to notice the pleats, they will take time to notice the cuffs as well.

Oh my.

You people make it out to be that if you don't like pleated pants and cuffed dress pants, you are for Al Qaida. :D

When 98% of the people that you see during a day, if polled, couldn't even tell you what you wore today.

In fact, I asked plenty about the whole pleated/flat front debate and they said they never even notice the difference...

Just for you khaki guys, I'm posting in dress casual wardrobe tonight. Wearing pleated Khaki pants with cuffs and a short sleeve button up Tommy Bahama black silk shirt. Usually it's just jeans or pleated khaki or blue shorts. I'm stylin' tonight. :D

That last post by Mr. Peabody telling us what he wore (overexplanation, but he has a tendency to delete his posts) was very gay.

I'm wearing black, too.

Didn't see anyone wearing cuffs.

well I am wearing some Old navy tech shorts, with a Gap longsleeve gray/black crewneck, and blue-checked Old Navy Boxers.

haha...

speaking of... last Friday I went to Old Navy and bought:
- 3 pair of boxers
- a 3-pack of socks
- a fleece pullover

grand total: 17 dollars.

God Bless America!
