Erik Estrada?

Seriously, though--for queso, I've gone back to good-old-fashioned regular, round Tostitos (not the "minis" or the "scoops" or "Restaurant style", although I get those ocassionally). And I love funyans, but they tear the roof of my mouth up (not to mention the not-so-minty-fresh breat).....Smooth

I really like the Baked Lays sour cream and onion

and the Cheetos Natural Cheddar are awesome

I've had the chili cheese fritos a couple of times lately--very good in small doses

also tried those tostitos with lime and they were surprisingly good, since I hate tostitos regular chips.

and funyuns suck

El Galindo used to be the best tortilla chips, but something happened to them in the last couple of years and they're not as good anymore

I like the On the Border chips

Xochitls are pretty good too

Cheddar Sun Chips
Regular Baked Lays
Cool Ranch Doritos

I really like thin tortilla chips, can't remember the brand I buy.

My list was based on chips by themselves, no salsa, bean dip, french dip etc.

And Stacey would take hostages for On the Border chips.

Kettle chips are the way to go.

I like the jalapeno or Zapp's Rajun Cajuns etc.

for salsa/queso i go with El Milagro, you can buy them at HEB, they are thinner and less salty than Tostitos. I don't mind people putting salt on a tortilla chip, but it should be up to the consumer, tostitos are just too salty.

For regular eating, Kettle cooked lays do just fine.

El Fenix Chips (you can buy them and take them home)

Bugles - you can put them on the end of your fingers and pretend you are eating your fingernails.

I was down with the Douglas' back in the day. Being born summer of '69 will do that to you.

I was introduced to Julio's chips and salsa when I was in Del Rio the first of march. All I can say is "DAAAAYYYUMMMMM!"

My absolute fave is the Jalapeno chips at Schlotzsky's. I have yet to find a store-bought brand that comes close.

I hate Doritos.

I wish they'd bring back Andy Capp's Hot Fries. I could never get enough of those bad boys. Greatness!

Julio's are the best chips and it really isn't even that close.

I could seriously kill a bag and one of their bowls of hot sauce in one sitting.

They don't sell them anywhere around here though, but every time I am in San Marcos I pick some up.

I can't remember if they're made by "Gardin of Eatin'" or "Guiltless Gourment"... But the SPICY BLACK BEAN is the King of Chips.

Julio's are greatness!

It is impossible to eat just a few of those. Very addictive.

Drew, they carry them at HEB, Randall's, Whole Foods, Central Market....

But they're out about half the time.
