Championships I'd like to see...

Postby Drew Corleone on Mon Apr 14, 2003 10:23 pm

...in the order I'd like to see them.

1. Longhorn football- I HOPE this happens at some point in my lifetime. It should.

2. Astros baseball- this will never happen, but I'd keep watching.

3. Cowboys football- Those three in the 90s were sweet... I'm ready to see it again.

4. Longhorn basketball- Maybe next year.

5. Longhorn baseball- encore... encore...

6. Spurs basketball- I'd like to see DR go out with a title.

7. Tiger Woods in any Major- Preferably the Masters or US Open. Those are my two faves.

8. Justin Leonard in any Major- Since he isn't as good as Tiger, I'd settle for a PGA, the kinda-major.

9. US Olympic Hockey- f Canada.

10. Bruins hockey- I'd be happy, but I'm not exactly going to dance in the street.

Bunt is mired in a three-game losing streak. We lost a few nail-biters the past couple of weeks.

Charlie Brown wins your heart with his losing ways. It always rains on his parade, his baseball game, and his life. He's an inveterate worrier who frets over trifles (but who's to say they're trifles?). Although he is concerned with the true meaning of life, his friends sometimes call him "blockhead." Other than his knack for putting himself down, there are few sharp edges of wit in his repertoire; usually he's the butt of the joke, not the joker. He can be spotted a mile away in his sweater with the zig zag trim, head down, hands in pocket, headed for Lucy's psychiatric booth. He is considerate, friendly and polite and we love him knowing that he'll never win a baseball game or the heart of the little red-haired girl, kick the football Lucy is holding or fly a kite successfully. His friends call him "wishy-washy," but his spirit will never give up in his quest to triumph over adversity

Wow, interesting find OKC. Pretty funny to see how many of these have actually come true (Longhorns of course, Red Sox, Spurs, Cardinals, etc.) and some have come pretty close (Astros, Bears).

Hey, maybe it really be the Cubs' time soon.... yeah, whatever.....Smooth
