Couldn't decide so criteria is in eye of the listmaker...or somesuch.

Nah, here it is. List as if you were drafting your own secondary, with each player at their respective Longhorn peak. So...college I guess.

1. Jammer
2. Vasher

I've cooled somewhat on my hatred of Michael Huff as he's having a pretty good year for the Raiders. It's about time.

With a record of 109-23 and 6 Big 12 titles in 10 seasons, Stoops has reason to be arrogant. But he is not. He is somewhere between humble and unimpressed.

I'd take Vasher over Aaron Ross. Vasher's accomplishments I think are somewhat diminished by the fact that he played saftey his first two years, and he was a bad ass punt returner.

If I had to make a list right now today mine would be.

1. Michael Huff
2. Aaron Williams
3. Jammer
4. Earl Thomas
5. Nate Vasher
6. Ced Griffin
7. Michael Griffin
8. Aaron Ross
9. Rod Babers
10. Tarrell Brown

I might be overrating Rod Babers, but he was great on that '01 team and his return of that fake punt for a TD in the '01 Big 12 Championship game is still one of my most memorable plays. I really thought we were going to win when he ran that thing back.

Aaron Williams and Earl Thomas will move up my list if they play another year like they did this year.

I didn't factor in special teams (returns or blocks) because I wanted to focus on strictly the defensive back position. I am just glad that we have enough legit candidates to field a top 10 . . . how many schools can say that?
