We need some kind of state/federal joint task force agency where we can quarantine LVG, herpes guy, that guy from the other office I told you about, BMW and AAIV.

Saw the pics, y'all aren't missing anything. BMV is wheels off. No doubt he's getting fired.

Just saw this email come through on our PTO distro.

Kn owing this guy, it probably has something to do with his lack of hygiene and general disgustingness.

Sounded like drug withdrawl to me,

Nothing would shock me, but this guy doesn't seem like the hardcore drug user. We used to have an employee that would call in for 1-2 days after every paycheck, and it was pretty common knowledge that he was off tweaking.

I hired an employee on April 6th and by June 1st she started in a different position in our department. After 2 months there, she requested to be moved to a different city. Today she asked both me and her current manager for a letter of reference because she just applied for a new job.

Fuck that shit. I am looking for a new job right now and when I need to check out for an interview I lie my ass off about my reason for taking leave. I'm certainly not asking my boss for a reference. I've been to a bunch of funerals in the last month. I'm not fooling anyone, but that is how the game is played. Gen Y/millenials are what happens when stupidity meets lack of self awareness.

So true. She'll probably give two weeks notice then use that time to plan her going-away happy hour. Then mass e-email everyone that profoundly touched her life in the 2 months she was there.

That exact scenario played out before my eyes recently.

HR Guru,

I have 4 hours worth of interviews tomorrow with a prospective employer. Something just came up in a conversation with the recruiter that made my interest in actually taking the job drop to almost zero. Cancel the interviews with less than 24 hours notice or suck it up and go in anyway so I don't make the recruiter look bad?

If you're working with a recruiter, I wouldn't cancel now, just so you don't burn any bridges. Otherwise, I would say don't waste your time or their time interviewing if you're not interested.

I'm on fire this week, I've had to respond to an EEOC complaint against me and an employee ranting to the Governor's Office. Good times.

Let me take a guess on the EEO complaint: You asked a low performing person who is (1) an old person and/or (2) a minority to do their fucking job.

The mere threat of an EEO complaint is enough to make management where I work cave on anything.

Also, what became of Crazy Jihad Lady?

You nailed it. Over 40 black woman who couldn't figure out the job, got super defensive and threw her team lead under the bus when she got called on it. She's so stupid she filed a retaliation complaint, rather than a discrimination case, which might have made more sense.

Jihad Jane was fired, never heard anything else about that one.

I've used the word "whale -cee you next Tuesday" several times this week in reference to the governor's office complaint. She doesn't belong to me, I am helping a supervisor with that one.
