Tales from HR

Postby LMQueen on Mon Sep 14, 2015 5:08 pm

No lie, this was the topic of my 4:00 meeting today.

Count the red flags.

An employee in Houston, who has missed several months of work for her well documented depression, anxiety and bipolar disorder, received a personal package from AFGHANISTAN at the office on Friday, September 11th.

It was a burka. She put it on, in front of six witnesses, and said "now I look like my people." She then proceeded to make a machine gesture around the room and say "I will kill all of you."

When her co-workers told her she needed to stop, she said "my people didn't kill those people in those buildings. George Bush did."

The idiot manager didn't bother to tell their superiors until 3:47pm today, that's when I got drug into it.

Crazy bitch was at work all day today.

She's also told people things like "I'm worth more dead to my family than alive." "Don't worry, I don't want to hurt anyone, I just want to kill myself."

This is how this shit happens.

Yikes. I see a road trip to Houston in your near future.

Lol

I'm getting 19, btw. I challenge someone to make up a story with more red flags than that one.

That lady is lucky to have played the Islam card in this spot. The Roboto kill you all deal would be enough to end her if the religious tolerance wasn't a factor

I'm home with a sick Jackson today, but my boss told me that it is also being reported to the Houston police, the FBI and Homeland Security.
We will have armed guards at state office and the two offices in Houston where she last worked.
I'm guessing there's also going to be some actions taken against those managers who didn't report it until Monday at 3:45.

Right Mak.... They're just going to let this lady make death threats against her coworkers just because she is muslim.

Oh, I thought you were talking about long term. Sounds like Jihadi Jane is on her way out the door. Unfortunately, there is an ongoing issue at another office where I work that suggests that spineless leadership will tolerate a pretty substantial amount of menacing behavior towards coworkers from idiots of all races and religious affiliation. It's not quite on the level of Jihadi Jane, but it is pretty wacky.

Dude, Valini has some pretty crazy HR stories but that one is at the top.
why don't you run back to the sandbox where the rest of the kids are playing so the adults can have a discussion...it's over there....you see Howie, he's over there with PMS knocking over other kids sandcastles...looks like fun.

She got her notice of possible disciplinary action today. She has three days to provide a rebuttal.

Yeah, you get your notice of possible, then a rebuttal, then we give you the final notice. Then you file a grievance. And if you win, you come back (six months after the fact) and get back pay and benefits.

Well, if you are at a certain pay grade, you "serve at the pleasure of the executive commissioner" and can be dismissed at will with now due process.

I am right at the cutoff of serving at the pleasure, so I have to behave myself.

Tales from HR

Postby LMQueen on Thu Oct 01, 2015 5:17 pm

Here's today debacle
Black male budget analyst V (BMV), white female budget analyst iv (WFIV)
and sister of WFIV are in director's office arguing about something fairly inconsequential.
BMV: WFIV, you're fake. Why don't you tell director about the time you called HR to complain about not getting a merit raise?

WFIV: BMV, why don't you tell Director about the naked pictures you've been sending to us? (Her and her sister.)

Enter Robbi's investigation

Apparently BMV is "dating" an Administrative Assistant IV (AAIV) who is married and works in the same dept. BMV has sent pictures of AAIV wearing nothing but a thong And vagina selfies AAIV took in the restroom at work to WfIV and her sister.

I had to send BMV home on emergency leave, but not before having to tell this story three separate times to the COO, CFO and Commissioner. Tomorrow I'll start doing interviews and probably have to review the "evidence" on WFIV's phone.

Can't wait.

I think you know what your next step after reviewing the evidence is.

And AAIV is actually black.
