2017 Texas vs. USC

Postby LMQueen on Sun Mar 26, 2017 12:09 pm

Drew, Matt and I talked a little bit about this trip on our wine tour yesterday. I thought I would start a thread here to discuss.

Who is planning on going?

What days are you traveling? (We are thinking about going out Thursday afternoon/evening and returning Sunday or Monday.)

Where do you want to stay? (We are thinking Santa Monica.)

Since there was a glaring lack of interest, we booked a trip to Vegas in November instead.

I could make it happen with relative ease, especially since we've got an office in the L.A. area I visit frequently. But Coop is starting football this fall (I'll be coaching), so I'll have to wait until our schedule comes out. I'm doing Iowa State for sure (since it's a Thursday).

This will be the first game I've missed as coach of the eagles since 2011.
If you want to dominate youth football, install the single wing. Do it like Dave cisar says and it's u stoppable. Here are some highlights from last season

Well, mr participation trophy, since you asked,
All we do is teach fundamentals. Step by step. In fact, a kid can't play on my defense if he can't hit with his head up and lead the correct way. Also, the single wing is power football, that works by dominate blocking. Correct first steps, lead blocking, pulling guards, etc. our kids are taught so well we don't miss any blocks no matter the d alignment. They know to look gap, then on, then down the line pre snap.
While most teams play sweep left, sweep right and repeat and move wr based on which way they run, the SW is series based. Every play looks the same. And each one sets something else up. So my kids learn a ton of shit.
With all that said, we are in a league that has winners and losers. You don't get shit if you don't make the top three. And that's a more important lesson than the blocking and tackling. Not everyone gets a prize, someone is always better than someone else. You can try your best and still not get a reward. Just like real life. Trophys for teams that suck in those leagues who just want to make sure everyone has fun is why millennial are worthless.

I took this picture of Leonard at practice last year.
