Young team, dude.

Seriously??? There's lots of young teams that could beat Kansas. Heck, our LMFZ flag team from several years back might beat them. This young team beat better opponentsoon than Kansas this year.

Strong has to go. Period.

He's done. Of course he is.

Not much point in discussing it further.

So true. He will be just fine. He can take the family to the Maldives for a month.

Kansas' first win over a FBS opponent since 2014. Absolutely pathetic. Don't even let him coach the TCU game.

This is unbelievable.

Charlie on Saturday: F-

Charlie on Monday: A+

What are Fenves and Perrin going to do if Texas beats TCU by 4 touchdowns?

Clowns.

Well for one standing up there for 30 minutes when the whole world knows he is going to be fired and answering every question with class and not going Cam Newton and mumbling the same answer 4 or 5 times and then cutting the thing short.

OK. A+ for doing a 30 minute presser without throwing his Gatorade at Kirk Bohls when he's about to collect several million bucks on his way out the door in return for setting a high water mark in futility for the Texas football program. He's such a fine man!

Like I said the other day. The fact that we consider ourselves a football blue blood is a joke. This is getting handled just about as shitty as the last one did. No prestigious football school

I get it. He failed here so no credit for anything is ever due. Just sit back and throw poo like a monkey like you always do.

This question is just THE BEST and I don't think enough people appreciate it.

They can't fire Charlie if he beats TCU 42-10 ! They can't do it !

I hope to God it happens too, I'm serious

BS beating an awful TCU team changes nothing that's happened the last 3 years and def doesn't cancel out a loss to fing Kansas.

They messed up not doing it yesterday.

If the message is that they're going to evaluate after TCU and we were to win big (doubt that would happen anyway) then they're going to have a lot of pressure to stand pat ala the 2015 Les Miles situation.

so WHY deny the termination and then say you're evaluating after TCU ?

You can't argue that one game (KU) is enough but then say one game (TCU) is not enough.

They're in a terrible lose-lose box here

You do it Sunday while Kansas is still very fresh on everyone's mind, and most people (and media) say, "well yeah, he lost to fucking Kansas."

You let him coach against TCU, we win and the crowd chants "Charlie Charlie" as he walks off into the sunset.

Now you give it a week, let him become a sympathetic character, we go out and win, you fire him and national media and those looking for clicks say Texas is a bunch of racists, they just fired a really popular coach who never had a chance.

None of that is my opinion, just saying what the narrative will be versus what it could have been.

I agree 100% which is why I don't really give a rat's ass what he said in the press conference today. If he wants to continue to make $5 million a year coaching football he needs to do it here because he has done a fantastic job over the last three years of demonstrating that nobody should ever pay him that much to coach football. He HAD to go out there and be magnanimous and say "Well, let's get through TCU and then we'll talk!" if he wants to have any chance, however slim, of sticking around here. The University is going to regret not doing what needed to be done on Sunday.

Oh I'm not saying we haven't done an absolutely terrible job of handling this we have and apparently we always do. We are a joke when it comes to this stuff.

But a win over TCU should change nothing.
