The Notre Dame Tailgate Thread

Postby HornMafia on Mon Aug 08, 2016 1:06 pm

It is about that time.

Time/TV: 6:30 CDT on ABC
Weather: 97 degrees/Sunny

First the new...we have a new vodka sponsorship this year as Dripping Springs Vodka will be providing adult libations for the low, low price of wearing a wristband if you wish to partake.

I know there is also talk of a sponsorship from a local brewery, but I am not sure if that is a done deal or not.

Other than that I believe everything to be the same, and we plan to kick off the season with a kickass tailgate that features Alcorn/Bethune Cookman, Texas Southern/Prairie View and Rangers/Astros game watching.

Hope to see everyone there.

Even Idiot Boy? Is he going to make it? ;) Sounds like there will quite a Rangers fan section.

Suburb Dad is probably the best we can hope for.

Officially out. Freaking double booked myself. Got asked on a huge dove trip down in South Texas and agreed to going thinking all along that the trip was the next weekend after Notre Dame. Spot was already reserved and paid for before I realized my mistake. So I'll be limiting out by 6 in order to be back at the bar on the ranch to watch the game. See y'all at UTEP.

Valini and I will be in attendance!

Can't wait.
why don't you run back to the sandbox where the rest of the kids are playing so the adults can have a discussion...it's over there....you see Howie, he's over there with PMS knocking over other kids sandcastles...looks like fun.

So, did you forget where we were or was there another *surprise* hunting trip, bachelor party, wedding, etc?
Or did we just not beat Notre Dame by enough?
Or are you boycotting Strong?
Or are you boycotting Buechele?

Nah just decided I didn't want to battle 35 again this weekend. Hopefully we keep winning though before OU, I'd hate for y'all to have a reason to skip that game again.

We didn't "skip" anything. We couldn't afford to go in to that game (after making the trip to Chicago/ Notre Dame and every home game) and made the trip, went into the state fair and cheered our asses off.

Fuck you.

We are alumni, we go to as many games as we can, whether the team is good or not.

I do not understand why someone not showing up for a tailgate would grind someone else's gears so bad they stopped down in the middle of a game for the express purpose of calling them out. If someone wants to go then great... have fun. If someone doesn't want to go, then also great. Who cares?
