Agreed, but from the Astros perspective, not that you were asking, it's a good trade....Rangers benefit from the no-trade move. Good work. BTW....you should've gotten rid of Gallo.

Love the Beltran move, can deal with the Lucroy move.

Beltran's numbers the last 162 are still ridiculous (34 HR), and he immediately becomes the team leader in HR and slugging percentage all for a guy that is at least three years away.

I don't like giving up Brinson or Ortiz, but they got an All-Star and didn't have to give up one of their top prospects. And got a damn good reliever, too.

They got a lot and still have Profar and Gallo for off-season pitching trades.

Do not want to trade Profar for any reason.

Yeah I'm not keen on Gallo's long term future. (Mark that under...)

Rangers' top 3 OPS right now:

Beltran
Desmond
Lucroy

And this:

"You guys just stole Beltran." A scout who's seen Tate pitch twice this year.(I think the Yanks got a great opp to give a kid a fresh start)

Twice...small sample size, I know. But reports are in some starts Tate was only hitting high 80's.

Yeah the more I've read on Tate it sounds like he may have had a bag of nothing. Why'd we draft him that high would be my question then. Still plenty young enough to turn it around though. Guess it's not a huge loss in personnel, but considering where he was picked it's still a high price.

Love getting Lucroy and we kept Mazara, Profar and Gallo.

Win all the way around. Yeah, we got rid of Brinsen but it's either him or Gallo. I'll take it as it stands.

Another great job by JD!

And Jeffress won't even report he knows how bad it is.

Great starts? We gave up 3 in the first. Yes, he turned it around. But we gave up 3 in the first.

Only gave up 3 over 9 innings is the better way to looks at it. Have to win that with this lineup.

Well the Rangers were saved by a career ending neck injury.

Feel terrible for Prince though.

Yeah sucks for him. Seems like a good dude. Sounds like we still will owe him $9 million per year through 2020. Better than $18 or whatever, but that's a big chunk of dead money.

Choo on the DL again? In other news water is wet, the sun will rise in the east, and the pope is still Catholic.

And yeah major blow to the offense. That 2-25 streak he was on was the real spark plug to all these runs we've been scoring <insert jerk off emoji here>.

Choo could pitch better than Lucas Harrell with his broken arm.

Not a fan of this Shawn Tolleson impersonation that Dyson keeps doing

Ding ding.

I hate what happened to Choo. The only bright side is that they have started playing Mazara again. I'm a firm believer that our losing streak was correlated with starting Nomar. He's the man.

Instead we've played Profar. Yes, a great utility man. But there is no better way to kill an inning than to send Profar to the plate. He'll drop a triple play on you if you aren't careful.

Something isn't right with him. Physically.

But if that is the case he needs to shut it down.
