2016 NCAA Tourney Talk

Postby MBK271 on Sun Mar 13, 2016 11:04 pm

I'm surprised I'm the first to post something!

So, Texas. Really strange team this year. Completely turned around with Ridley going down early in the year.

The draw: TAMU and OU! Let's just hope we can get out of the first round to get there. You know this team has shown that it can play wiht anybody and get beat by anybody. I'm not planning on a long tourney run.

BUT - I do like the trajectory with old Shaka.
why don't you run back to the sandbox where the rest of the kids are playing so the adults can have a discussion...it's over there....you see Howie, he's over there with PMS knocking over other kids sandcastles...looks like fun.

Winning non-conf and conf records (in what has become a very formidable basketball conference) to include some signature wins against ranked opponents has made for a good overall first season for Smart & Co. I like the overall trajectory and it's clear the identity Smart is trying to establish with both defense and offense. that's a refreshing change from recent years.

This team is exciting to watch. Hope they are able to get out of the first weekend and make some noise this tournament. Hook'em!

I entered the shaggybevo tourney challenge, which is more or less a waste of $30 since I'd be surprised if I watched more than an hour of non-UT college ball this year. I have Texas going out to OU in the Sweet 16. Prove me wrong.

Wow. Texas beating TAMU. I think we CAN but we have underperformed a lot of times this year. Then again, we've had some strong wins too... I'm just not sold.

I got a little excited this morning and started laying bets :D :D

Texas Tech +3.5
Baylor -6
Arizona -1

On a whim, I placed a request for 2 tickets to Texas game 1st round in OKC.
I figured what the hell, if I don't get them (like past years) no big deal.

Well F*NG Hell Yeah...my request was filled.
On top of that, the seast are 7 fricking rows behind the Texas bench!
Needless to say, I'm pretty excited.

Just hpe the Team shows up unlike the last 2 games against BU and the last homegame against KU.
Pretty sure the tickets get into the Aggie game, as well.

I trailed some of Norm's Picks of the Pole. 1-0 so far on the Duek/UNCW over. Thanks, Norm.

I guess based on Seth's picks we should expect a Wichita State win tonight.

Man, what a day! Some crazy games.

I had a great day at the book. Good thing that I logged on to see Norm's picks and took his double play on Seton Hall. Tried to catch up and did play that one double.

-5 going in to day 2!

There's always tomorrow my friends.

Loved the Baylor guys answer in to how they got out rebounded. Haha.

Yeah... Norm was going well until I mentioned he was doing well on the group text and then things went south.

You eat chitlins.

Now would be a fantastic time for Michigan State to start playing basketball.
