I think you could take away all of Iowa State's points that were not the result of thunderous highlight reel dunks and Texas would still be losing.

This team has completely lost its way and its early identity. What a train wreck this has become.

Barnes refused to panic about his team’s collapse.
“Why would I worry?” Barnes said. “I don’t even know if I’m going to live tomorrow.”

From Mike Finger:

Since '08, UT's record by month against Top 25 teams: Nov/Dec: 9-8 (.529); Jan: 7-16 (.304); Feb: 2-11 (.154); March: 1-11 (.083).

Top 25. Not Top 10. Not Top 5.

25.

This is gonna sound ignorant, but I actually think they'd be a better team if they had no coach whatsoever. Literally just roll the ball out there and play.

I really don't like Barnes.

The most exciting thing about this game is that it will be over early enough so as to not be in conflict with Better Call Saul.

Oh Damn they finished on a 0-12 run to lose by 2 and it appears they jacked a 25 footer with 8 seconds left vs a full shot clock ??

I don't even have to watch the games to be reminded why I hate Rick Barnes. Tyrone Swoopes has better game awareness.

They won 20 games though in a tough league, right ? That's normally an automatic ticket in correct ?

Yeah they'll likely be in.

And yeah, Felix jacked one up from Omaha with plenty of time left.

The Taylor time violation was the most ridiculous thing to me. A bad shot in panic time is not as egregious as literally standing in the back court not making an attempt to cross the line. It's not like Iowa St was putting on Strollin' Nolan-like pressure.

In all the stupidness I forgot about that. Idiotic, especially considering he was about a foot away for the last three seconds.

Stupid teams have bad coaches.

That didn't work but I was trying to show... It appeared the players had it under control but the Texas bench was losing it and Barnes appears to be screaming for a quick shot.

Just watched it again at work, he wasn't calling for a quick shot, he called for the ball to go to Taylor (which it did) and for him to drive to the basket (which he did not), also, this:

Go to Holmes and then McKay has to decide to cover Ridley or Lammert which creates a 2 on 1 at the fucking rim.

The video looks like Barnes panicking to me and two players definitely responded to his theatrics, one of them shooting a quick long 3.

Also the guy most open on the play is to the ball's right here just out of view but Felix never looked. He was too busy trying to shoot as fast as he could.

Also I never understand why they need 6 or 8 coaches on the bench yelling things at them. Seems confusing. Plus do you really need all those Monkeys yelling to have them run the same ISO play over and over. I really think it's stupid and won't be convinced otherwise.

I see what you're doing.

There are 14 people on the coaching staff. The four main coaches jumping around flailing and panicking above look like hyped up monkeys at the zoo. They have no composure. 75% of them are even white. My comment was not about skin color. It was a reference to their lack of composure and competence demonstrated by their lack of execution.

11 seed playing Butler in the first round. I like this as it's more efficient to watch one loss and be done with it than whatever would have happened in the Not Invited Tournament.
