Sun Roofs

Just curious, does anyone really ever use them?

I've had them on all my vehicles (car, pickup, suv) for as long as I can remember.

I really never use them except maybe when I'm inside a drive through carwash. I like to watch the wash and pink foam stuff squirted on the roof.

Why I don't care for them 99.9% of the rest of the time.

If I open it all the way up, I don't care for the wind noise.

If I just open the shade/cover I don't like the direct sunlight. It just makes it hotter.

Convertibles are a different story. They are fun to let down the entire roof and enjoy the outside.
It's just not the same with a sun roof.

Does anyone really utilize the sun roof upgrade option on a vehicle and have fun with it? If you do I'm happy for you.

They usually come included with the option packages that I choose.

That is all.

My kids are 5 and 2 1/2. I can kill 10-15 minutes with the sun roof in a pinch. 20 if it's raining.

So long as it's just me or me and the kids, yes. The wife isn't a fan because of the wind.

I have a fair commute to/from work everyday, and often take the back roads through the countryside. Open sun roof and windows (with right weather) is very enjoyable in my truck. Once I get into the city, though, I typically leave it closed.

If the weather's nice, then it's rare that I'm not using it. On that note, I probably won't use it again until October.

Had one on my truck.....used it every once in a whole. New rig didn't have one, haven't missed it.

I've specifically avoided them with my last few cars. I just bought a new (used) car that has one, and I've enjoyed having it in this coolish weather.
