Random Christmas thoughts

Postby 12ozLongneck on Thu Dec 25, 2014 12:15 am

My sister in law's mother gives my SIL gifts that are "from" my sister in law's father every year. He has been dead for over 25 years. Sister in law's mom is also currently mad at my brother because he went out and got a Michael Kors purse and wallet for my SIL. They agreed that the purse would be from my brother and the wallet would be "from" my sister in law's great grandmother, who kicked the bucket this year. Sister in law's mother changed course and decided that she wanted the purse to be from dead great grandmother and now my brother is a terrible guy for refusing to go along with that. Am I the only one who finds all that a little weird and morbid?

I got up here on Monday afternoon and have been ready to leave since about noon yesterday. Christmas is such an asswhip.

A little weird. By a little I mean a lot.

Yeah that is very odd.

Agree with above comments. Weird.

Very Morbid and Weird, but I like it.

Great story.

I might incorporate that into my own future Christmas gift giving.

Epilogue: My SIL got my brother a refurbished Roomba for Christmas. I'd set that goddamn purse on fire if I was him.

Yeah. Between that and the fact that my SIL's parents arrived on December 19 and are not leaving until January 5, it is apparent that my bro has some scene control issues. My visit up there was basically one long commercial for never getting married and having kids.

I've been sick for five days and my week sounds much better than that!
