It's unfathomable that 103.3 wouldn't even try to bring him in. Talk about a total giveup--they're running Colin Cowherd's syndicated show from 9-11 and their 11-2 is generic Kevin Kiley paired with Nate Newton.

Norm and BaD have nothing to worry about, that's for sure.

Does this mean I have to give up my avatar? Damn...

Oh, and I caught Wiz's Santa A** for a brief moment earlier. Anyway you can bring it back in place of "Festivus"? Please?? Good Lord! Just wish I would have saved it first...

Well, they're bringing in Michael Irvin at 103.3 from 11-2. BaD might have a little something to worry about now. ... c51ba.html

(Brief mention of 103.3 talking to Greggo, too)

All I know is that Hardline baseball talk sucks balls without Greggo. Danny and Corby don't know shit about baseball.

Greggo and Nate Newton. That sounds like an almost certain trainwreck.

Richie Witt tell-all column this week

“He admitted his problem, great,” Rhyner says. “But we had a show to do and it was best to do it without him. Everyone agreed on that. I don’t have problems with second chances, but he was given five or six or seven. He just became more interested in vacation days and money and lake houses and drugs than the job. He lost complete sight of what got him here and I couldn’t stand to be around him, much less work beside him.”

“A lot of those guys confronted me about drugs and I emphatically denied it,” Williams says. “I lied right to their faces. But, still, this proves I’m a horrible judge of character. I would’ve lost a lot of money, because I would’ve bet against all these guys turning their back on me like this.”

We need to post the full story when it hits. Maybe some closure will be provided.

For those of you keeping score, my 6,500-word opus hits Dallas Observer racks in about 48 hours.

Seth is good at math. If we're lucky, he'll wander by and post the solution for us!

President Bush awaits along with all of us

First of all – duh – I have zero control of when the story gets posted online. Generally, cover stories are posted at our home site on Wednesday afternoons. But I’m a lowly sportswriter, not an IT geek.

Secondly, there are a couple more people in Washington, D.C. itchin’ to read the feature. Weird, I know.

I have it on very good authority that at some point today, tonight or tomorrow a printed copy of “The Hard Lie” will land on the desk of the Leader of the Free World.

Goes down like this. Dubya is from Texas and once was a managing general partner of the Rangers and still likes to keeps tabs on the media goings-on ‘round these parts. He gets his info from White House communications director Kevin Sullivan, who just so happened to be the former media relations director for your Dallas Mavericks.

Sully had several dealings with Williams and The Ticket and is fascinated by the tale, also sending word through a mutual media friend that the big boss anxiously wants to read the story.

So, about the time you’re reading it, ol’ Sully will relay it to the west wing of the White House. Hopefully he’ll explain the really big words.

In programming news, as of last night The Ticket wasn’t sure of reaction game-plan to the story. FYI, I offered to go on The Hardline to discuss, but I wouldn’t hold my breath.

Lastly, let’s take a day to digest it and tomorrow afternoon – say 2ish – send in any questions you may have about the story or its aftermath and I’ll get as close to a live chat as technically possible. Cool? -- Richie Whitt]
