The latest on Greggo

I couldn't stand Rhadigan.

I guess I only know Rhadigan from his FSN stuff, and he seemed like a slightly less irritating version of Rick Renner.

I'd take K Scott over Raddy. And Followill over everyone.

I think the show should still be called The Hardline.

I think Corby is better as a #3.

I think Greggo had NOTHING left in the tank for the last 6 months of his tenure, and while that 6 months is better than what we get currently, it wasn't nearly as good as what he used to bring.

I don't think Mike/Corby/Danny et. al. have handled everything perfectly, I believe that a) Greggo deserves everything he has received and b) given the history of the situation (that was not included in the story), I don't blame the guys for how they have moved forward (or that they wanted to move forward even before Greggo went missing in Oct.).

I don't think that they let the situation go on for two months after the Fight Night coke incident. Apparently, there were discussions held, both on a personal and formal level, with Greggo from Ticket personnel (including Corby, who was the one to witness it). Now, I think it is questionable why they didn't just fire him then (Fight Night) if they got rid of him for a less dramatic incident a couple months later (Oct. 12) - but I don't necessarily think that means very much. I think they enabled Greggo for a long time - even after Fight Night - in a sense that there was no punishment for his behavior until he was let go. But I don't think that they were severe enablers, because they had many discussions with him about his behavior (nose bleeds, hyper in meetings, tardiness, etc.), and tried to get him to come clean to them.

This situation sucks all the way around.

I listened to about the first 15 minutes. Greggo = good. His sidekicks = awful.

I gave it about 45 minutes. There's zero chemistry between the hosts. I'll tune in about a week or so from now and see if they've settled in and gotten better.

Not sure what's less surprising - Greggo going Greggo again or the screwdriver to the neck recruit still being admitted by OU. Let's just call it a draw.

How hard can it be not to show up blown out on coke and get paid a ton of money to talk about sports and boobs?

Do I hear three times? Apparently Greggo has gone MIA with nary a peep about it on the Fan. According to his girlfriend's tweets, they are dealing with a "medical issue".

The latest on Greggo

Postby HornMafia on Tue Feb 19, 2013 9:54 pm

Haha. I advocated bringing in John Rhadigan.

I still stand by my statement that Corby was better as a #3.

Agreed! Corby was better as #3.

I'm with you Matt.
why don't you run back to the sandbox where the rest of the kids are playing so the adults can have a discussion...it's over there....you see Howie, he's over there with PMS knocking over other kids sandcastles...looks like fun.

Yeah. Corby is absolutely way too unprepared and ill informed to be second fiddle on a drive time show.

As far as Rhadigan goes, I have zero problem with him as a fill in guy. Just keep him away the hell away from the Rangers booth.

Grego just tweeted that he was fired by The Fan today and was not given much reason as to why. Also said that if you're keeping score he has now been fired by all three sports stations. Haha!
