I can't fathom how graduates of that university take pride in the institution. It almost seems like the whole thing is just one big bit.

Fran was on College Football Live the other day. They asked him what it took to win the Big 12 South, which is more or less like asking me what it takes to organize a good supermodel orgy.

Damn. Moral victories before the season has even begun. I'd love to see the "box score" for that one.

Assuming they "win" in August, wonder if they'll try to sneak that into their official record somehow again...

 He should have opted for the Hai Karate or Sex Panther instead....

An 81-year-old Milwaukee man has sued the makers of Brut cologne after it ignited and burned parts of his hands, chest and neck...

He washed and shaved in a bathhouse on the camp grounds and applied Brut lotion to his face, neck and chest with his hands. He also used the aerosol deodorant. He then went to a fire pit to cook breakfast.

His face, neck and chest ignited while he was starting the cooking fire, his lawsuit says...

"Our view is there is no warning that after you apply it, you remain flammable for some period of time," Hanrahan told the newspaper. "You aren't thinking, 'I'm still flammable."'

Roy Tarpley suing the Mavs, NBA

HOUSTON – Former Dallas Mavericks forward Roy Tarpley is suing the team and the NBA, claiming they violated the Americans with Disabilities Act by refusing to reinstate him to the league.

Tarpley, who was permanently banned from the NBA in 1995, says in his lawsuit the NBA and the Mavericks discriminated against him on the basis of his disability as a recovering drug and alcohol abuser.

In May, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission sided with Tarpley, ruling the NBA violated the disabilities act by failing to reinstate Tarpley, 42, who has passed all drug tests he's taken in the last four years.

Mavericks officials said the team would have no comment on the lawsuit.

Interesting.

According to the ADA, you can't be denied employment if you are diagnosed with an abuse problem AND you are receiving treatment.

I am sure sports franchises must have something in their contracts that would legally protect them from having to employ addicts.
Having the opposite viewpoint from you ensures my moral supremecy.

Here are some of the ones I follow:

Miriam Salpeter: Gives job seeking advice
Tiger's Headcover: Hilarious during the Master's
PGA Tour: PGA Tour updates
LinkedIn: Ways to use LinkedIn better
The Masters: Was a life saver in Seguin last week with only iPhone for Internet
Torchy's Tacos: Updates on the greatest tacos ever
Brian Baumgartner: Who doesn't like Kevin from The Office?
ATrubow: UT baseball updates up to the minute, quick easy place to get it on the go
Woot: Woot's deal of the day

I agree, the race to 1 million followers was gay, though.

Seriously? Round Rock thinks this would be a good spot for MLB? WTF?
And yes, probably not really a sign of the Apocalypse, but after reading Bucharest's last few posts questioning the validity of Twitter, I couldn't help but pull it back up. I think that 'ole site might have a couple more years left in its legs....

The thought of this thread popped in my head when I recently saw a commercial on ESPN about "rivalry week" for MLS teams...and ironically, that wasn't the "sign" part. The commercial concluded by noting that the Seattle-Portland game would be on Fox Sports 1--who would have thought that professional (term used loosely) American soccer would bring together competing sports networks?

Alas, that finishes second to something else I just saw: Pizza Hut Hot Dogs bites pizza (where the crust is made out of mini hot dogs). I certainly don't eat great and wouldn't judge anyone for having one, but goodness, I think I reached my sodium content for the day just by watching the commercial...
