An 81-year-old Milwaukee man has sued the makers of Brut cologne after it ignited and burned parts of his hands, chest and neck...

He washed and shaved in a bathhouse on the camp grounds and applied Brut lotion to his face, neck and chest with his hands. He also used the aerosol deodorant. He then went to a fire pit to cook breakfast.

His face, neck and chest ignited while he was starting the cooking fire, his lawsuit says...

"Our view is there is no warning that after you apply it, you remain flammable for some period of time," Hanrahan told the newspaper. "You aren't thinking, 'I'm still flammable."'

Roy Tarpley suing the Mavs, NBA

HOUSTON – Former Dallas Mavericks forward Roy Tarpley is suing the team and the NBA, claiming they violated the Americans with Disabilities Act by refusing to reinstate him to the league.

Tarpley, who was permanently banned from the NBA in 1995, says in his lawsuit the NBA and the Mavericks discriminated against him on the basis of his disability as a recovering drug and alcohol abuser.

In May, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission sided with Tarpley, ruling the NBA violated the disabilities act by failing to reinstate Tarpley, 42, who has passed all drug tests he's taken in the last four years.

Mavericks officials said the team would have no comment on the lawsuit.

According to the ADA, you can't be denied employment if you are diagnosed with an abuse problem AND you are receiving treatment.

I am sure sports franchises must have something in their contracts that would legally protect them from having to employ addicts.

The thought of this thread popped in my head when I recently saw a commercial on ESPN about "rivalry week" for MLS teams...and ironically, that wasn't the "sign" part. The commercial concluded by noting that the Seattle-Portland game would be on Fox Sports 1--who would have thought that professional (term used loosely) American soccer would bring together competing sports networks?

Alas, that finishes second to something else I just saw: Pizza Hut Hot Dogs bites pizza (where the crust is made out of mini hot dogs). I certainly don't eat great and wouldn't judge anyone for having one, but goodness, I think I reached my sodium content for the day just by watching the commercial...
