Pretty strong first episode. It is crazy how much of this case I remember.

Strong casting. I thought Travolta would be distracting as Robert Shapiro but he nails it.

Very much looking forward to the next episodes.

Yeah I enjoyed it. Still unbelievable to me how much the evidence was stacked against him and he got off.

That's exactly what I kept thinking. I don't remember much of the specifics, so I'm very curious to see how the prosecution blows it.

Exactly this. I know trial-watchers all knew he was guilty but I guess I never realized it was this obvious. I remember thinking/hoping he was found not guilty at the time.

It was terrible, if not entertaining. Kind of like the Entourage movie. Actually, exactly like the Entourage movie.

The Los Angeles police department was raked over the coals (especially Fuhrman), they didn't have a good reputation anyways just two years after Rodney King, the DNA presentation by Barry Scheck was genius, and Clark/Darden didn't introduce some evidence (the Bronco chase, the suicide note) and tried the ridiculous charade of trying to make someone admit the murder glove fits their hand.

He did it...but the defense team was great, and they convinced a jury from downtown LA (another Clark/Darden fuckup) that there was reasonable doubt (in their minds).

Yes, me too.

Apparently, Johnny Cochran really did say "N-, please." to Chris Darden in court.

OJ's mansion getting decorated was one thing I was wondering about.

On Darden... I remember watching him throughout the trial and he seemed like the only like-able person on either legal team as well as some of the other characters in that mess. It appears to be the case now too.

That's funny.

I remember watching the verdict in The Union....was on my way to class....didn't make it to class.

Another solid episode. Like stated I can remember little things, but was so young don't remember a lot of these details. Pretty unbelievable really. I'm having to hit the fact checker every week.

Chris Darden is about the only sympathetic character in this whole mess.

I felt pretty bad for Marcia Clark in last nights episode. The defense team and the media were ruthless to her.

Okay, that one was tough to watch for Marcia.
In retrospect, the prosecution should have been lead by a man. Someone should have known that a female would be critiqued in ways a man would not: she's too fat, too skinny, has resting bitch face, is too emotional, her hair is too short, her hair is too curly, etc.
She was destined to be drug through the mud, no matte what.

Imagine how bad it would be now with Internet memes and gifs and the sort.

Good for her for making a living off of this crap.

And Sarah Paulson needs to win an Emmy.

LMQueen,

You make an interesting point which plays into the way the prosecution handled this whole thing. They just keep thinking, we have the evidence on our side and that is all we need. It's like a high school JV football team going against college all-americans and saying... God is on our side and that is all we need to win.

So I read an interview that Marcia Clark did recently and she refused to answer the question if her and Darden were ever intimate, saying that it was a private matter better left in the past.

They totally did it.

This show... it delivers.

I remember watching Dennis Miller when this trial was going on and how he talked about Darden. He said he imagined Darden going home every night and just letting a freestyle stream of cuss words flow until he couldn't scream anymore.
