2016 Music

A hit-or-miss hodgepode of hyperbolicism...

I generally liked everything but that asinine "Thank God for Girls" song that I disliked when it first came out in January. (Girl We Got a) Good Thing probably my favorite after a few listens. Classic Weezer feel. The only thing I don't like is that the album clocks in at a paltry 34 minutes.

Has anyone else been brave enough to listen to the Life of Pablo?

Better than I was expecting.

General music question.

Where is Keith Urban on the music snob street cred scale from 1-10 ?

Like if some dude overhears me listening to Keith Urban song is he going to think I'm super cool guy (10) or total fag (1) ?

I would not recognize a Keith Urban song so I may think you're listening to shitty country, but I wouldn't judge you specifically for listening to Keith Urban... assuming he is shitty county, which I do based on the question.

I didn't really like it, but the last one grew on me so maybe this one will, too.

OK that's good to know, thanks.

I was figuring we were in the 4.5 range and I was thinking he's pretty good. I'll continue to listen privately.

I don't much of his music, but I believe others do applaud his guitar skills. He seemed like a nice, normal fun guy on Idol. I definitely wouldn't put him in the same category of the Luke Bryan douchiness.

The new Avett Brothers song is garbage. This can't be the same band that made Emotionalism.

Violent Femmes album is the leader in the clubhouse for album of the year and Foothills is leader in the clubhouse for song of the year.

New Speedy Ortiz song isn't bad.

Finally gave it a listen. You undersold how awful it is. Absolutely terrible. Going to see them Saturday and I know what song I'll be making a restroom run on.

Parquet Courts in August? In.

Based on the first two tracks on their new album, Avett Brothers are dead to me. The song they dropped yesterday is even worse than the first one.

Maybe that's the one I heard then. Which ever one it was it was awful. I hope the live show still delivers Saturday.

Okay the one that I heard that was awful was "Ain't No Man", horrible! Just heard "Satan Pulls The Strings", again terrible. What's with all the beat box and auto tune crap? I'm worried about this show Saturday now.
