I like Albert Hammond Jr's new album and wish he was not playing opposite Wolf Alice on Friday.

The new Wild Child is pretty solid... love their general songwriting... lots of harmonies and well-orchestrated songs.

U2,

ave you heard the new El Vy album....everyone for that matter....great album. It's Matt Berringer from The National and Brent Knopf. Good stuff.

BTW....went to the Muse-Phantogram concert in Houston last night....still the best live show out there right now....they never disappoint....same with the legs on that Phantogram chick....my word!!!

I thought El vy was okay... really didn't do a lot for me.

I like the Big Boi/Phantagram collaboration.

So weird, you're the 2nd person to ask me what I thought of el vy today.

Haven't really given it much of a listen. I'll have to check it out and give it more attention.

The National should have a new album out sometime soon too, no?

The National is another popular band that just hasn't ever done much for me.

Pitbull is a big player in the Jazzercise world. :)

Vitamin Strings are good for Jackson or when I need to concentrate, but like background music, at work.

The new Jr Jr ablum (nee Dale Earnhardt Jr Jr) is pretty good. Not sure why they changed their name, but I have seen these guys twice at SXSW and they are a great live band. Their albums have been pretty good, too.

They said it just caused too much confusion. The real Dale Jr. was bummed they changed it, supposedly.

Transgressor? Probably my #2 album from last year behind Built To Spill. I think you'd enjoy the rest of their catalog prior to We Are All Where We Belong. Everyone You Love Will Be Happy Soon is damn near perfect.

Yeah, it was really good. Listened to it three times in the last 24 hours.

Checking out some older What Made Milwaukee Famous right now (always been a fan of that guy's stuff) and will give the other QC a spin next.

Went to Isbell last night. Now I'm by no means ultimate music guy who sits completely silent the whole time "taking it in". However I had the biggest typical Dallas cunt bag behind me last night. She literally talked, and loudly over the music, the entire two hours. She had the valley girl type accent too. And it was really riveting stuff like how she can't wait for that "golf tournament, what's it called again", and how people who live in grapevine are gross, and how she hates that she has to work until 5. It was all I could do not to have another Alabama girl moment like at the Rose Bowl all those years ago. I was really close to laying into her, but Liz asked me to please not. I don't get the person that pays $60+ to go to a concert and pay $13+ a drink to not even remotely pay attention to the show. Just go to a bar! It's much cheaper!!
