With 2 episodes left I thought it needed its own thread.
I find it so humorous to read OB and every one who thinks every frame has a hidden meaning.

I honestly don't know where it ends up from here. I think Harlesons daughter is going to be in some of the photos or footage judging by the previews.

By the way most uncomfortable sex scene ever this week.

I told Dave and Norris last week that something was going to come back up with the guy mowing the lawn at the school. He had the stringy "spaghetti" looking hair so he kinda fit the description.

The video of them raping the girl was creepy as shit and kinda made it hard for me to go to sleep last night. The old lady in the projects going all demonic/voodoo crazy was pretty creepy too.

They left so much to resolve in the finale and I can't wait to see it. It's so bittersweet though because I don't want this to end. It has been amazing. I know they're bringing it back next year but my understanding is like the old True Detective comic books it will be another story in another city with totally different detectives. I can't imagine it being anywhere near as good without MM and Harleson. They have both been outstanding.

Agree with all of the above.
I really enjoyed that the guys are kind of getting along in this week's episode . There's still tension, but it is a little lighter.

Did y'all notice that the lawn mower is Remis from BE too?

Just finished catching up on this. I have no idea how they wrap this up in a satisfactory fashion with one hour left without leaving us hanging on a few things, but the people running the show seem like they know exactly what they're doing.

You'll soon figure out if the show is as great as they think it is.

I'm liking House of Cards better right now.

Why the facepalm over someone expressing their own preference?

Good lord that was tense. Well done.

I have no idea how they'll be able to approach that next season.

So tense, so creepy and so good. Let the countdown to Mad Men begin for Sunday night television.

I appreciate all the True Detective people shutting down HBOGO just as I want to start Sopranos.

Okay the more I've had time to chew on this I'm a little dissapointed.

They don't address the conspiracy and cover up of all of this other than a quick mention by a news reporter? And we are to believe that Dora Lane was just the victim of lawn mower man and that all her talk of meeting a yellow king and finding religion isn't much of a story after all? How do high ranking officials and politicians end up being involved with swamp trash like Errol and Ledoux? Just too much build up of a conspiracy to then totally sweep it under the rug.

I don't mind them not taking down the network. It shows that everything isn't always wrapped up in a pretty little bow.

I didn't neccassirly need them to take down the network, but it became just a footnote in the story when it was presented as THE story throughout the series. I mean the barely addressed it just saying in a newscast spokesman are denying that Senator Tuttle has any ties to the ring.

I always thought the story was more about these two guys than it was the case. The case was only a means of developing the characters.
