House of Cards Season 2 Thread

Postby 12ozLongneck on Sun Feb 16, 2014 8:32 pm

Are there enough people watching this to give it its own thread? I have a few problems so far.

Episode 2 Spoilers:

Spoiler: show
So Journalist Guy goes and watches video of Zoe falling onto the subway tracks. They see her fall, say "Yup. That train fucked her shit up real good!" and call it a day? There aren't any other cameras? They aren't going to rewind a little bit and see what was going on 30 seconds before she fell onto the tracks?

Yes, on Ep 6.

I think they made a point to show him on the other side of that beam. I do get that they probably would have had other cameras.

Digging the season so far.

This was bothering me today big time too. It just seems like really lazy writing. I dunno. I feel like people want to like this show and think it's a lot better than it actually is. I miss the Peter Russo storyline.

That's kind of where I am. I really enjoy the show, but it's not Breaking Bad or Game of Thrones level stuff.

Not going to argue that both of those shows are better, but who cares? It's a very good show without having to be on the level of the best of all time ( which I'm not sure GoT is either)

Through 7. Very interested to see where this is going.

1. The product placement is out of control. It's like a Dell commercial.
2. I wonder if they are ever going to circle back to the visit to Underwood's school from last season. That seems like an odd thing to throw out there and never revisit again.

Yeah, gotta make their money some way . Apple gets more facetime than half the characters, no pun intended.

I hope not. That ep was superfluous, IMO. The Nikki /Paulo of HoC.

I'm going to have to check out House of Cards. I saw a trailer for it tonight. It has Kevin Spacey. Looked interesting.
