Just saw the trailer for Parkland. Very interested in it. It's the story of the events of November 22, 1963 post shooting.

Parts of Parkland were filmed at our Austin State Supported Living Center.

Giving up on "Killing Kennedy" about an hour into it because my enjoyment is being hampered by my complete and total inability to take a movie where Rob Lowe plays a president seriously.

Just finished Man of Steel. I didn't think it was as bad as some of you did, but it wasn't a good movie. I'll probably give the sequel a chance.

Continued my tour of 2013 movies that I missed while they were in theaters with The Conjuring. Meh.

Starting up a little movie-going bonanza here. Saw 12 Years a Slave Saturday (great).

Seeing Dallas Buyers Club today and Wolf of Wall Street next Saturday. Might see American Hustle on Christmas.

Dallas Buyers Club--not bad, great performance by Leto, but it felt like a long string of various scenes rather than a cohesive story.

Saw Anchorman 2 yesterday... good stuff!

A little all over the place at times and forced a bit at others. Still, good for quite a few laughs.

I still think that Anchorman is right up there with Airplane as funniest movie ever.
why don't you run back to the sandbox where the rest of the kids are playing so the adults can have a discussion...it's over there....you see Howie, he's over there with PMS knocking over other kids sandcastles...looks like fun.

Just saw Inside Llewyn Davis. Did not really like it or dislike it. In terms of Coen brothers movies, it reminded me of A Serious Man. Relentlessly dour and didn't really go anywhere.

Want to see Wolf of Wall Street, Nebraska, American Hustle, Dallas Buyers Club while I'm off of work.

Was dragged to The Hobbit by my sister Christmas Day. I didn't hate it.

Some movies that are 3 hours long need to be 3 hours long. Wolf of Wall Street wasn't one of them. It wasn't bad, but they could have shaved at least 30 minutes off of it.

So I completed my December binge:

12 Years a Slave
American Hustle
Dallas Buyers Club

Wolf of Wall Street

in that order. Now I think I wanna see Llewyn Davis

Saving Mr Banks

i liked it
It was basically like starring in a bukkake video with Charlie the Tuna.

thought the individual performances were great, just couldn't get into the movie though... Kept feeling like he was trying to make a Scorsese movie and falling flat... 6/10

Saw Dallas Buyers Club last night. I agree with Dan. Well done, but it felt episodic.

As far as everything I've seen over the last month goes:

American Hustle
Dallas Buyers Club
Wolf of Wall Street
Inside Llewyn Davis

I still need to see 12 Years A Slave and Nebraska.

Went and saw "Her" last night....pretty damn awesome. Joaquin Phoenix may be a weird dude, but he's one hell of an actor.......highly recommend this movie if you're into great scripts and if you're wondering where this whole techmology thing might take us.
