2013: The year that zombies got ruined just like vampires and werewolves.

Coming to theatres in 2014: Fuck Me, Frankenstein.

On a more positive note, Joseph Gordon Levitt has been cast in Sin City 2 which means that Sin City 2 will actually be released at some point.

The Great Gatsby was OK. They did a pretty good job of sticking to the book. I could have done with out the Jay Z shit in a movie about the 1920s, but I guess that is a Baz Luhrmann thing.

Ironman 3 was better than I had expected.

With a record of 109-23 and 6 Big 12 titles in 10 seasons, Stoops has reason to be arrogant. But he is not. He is somewhere between humble and unimpressed.

Are Iron Man 2 and 3 going to do much for me if I thought the first one was mediocre?

Iron Man 2 was below mediocre and Iron Man 3 brings it back to being just mediocre.

Not sure if it's clear how much Nolan is really involved though. He just has a producer and "story by" credit. He definitely wasn't involved day-to-day.

I realize you guys are basically an "Amadeus" or it sucks crowd. Lighten up and have some fun at the movies for once and quit acting like a bunch of Washington DC elitists.

I was just thinking (honestly) that I need to re-watch Amadeus--what a great movie. On a lighter note, the wife and still want to see Pain & Gain and I'm oddly excited about "This is the End" (hope not to be disappointed). I don't think it's that we can't appreciate lighter fare--it's just the ratio of crap to good stuff seems to be so much higher in the big-budget category--hoping some of the summer movies are different.

Edit: I watched Jack Reacher and didn't hate it, but thought it could have been much better. And don't get me started on Taken 2......

Star Trek: Into the Darkness was a pretty fun couple of hours. If you liked the last one, you'll like this one. If as a kid, like me, you only had a few TV station options and Star Trek thus became by default one of the shows you regularly watched after school, you'll appreciate various references. We saw this in 2D, but I've heard the 3D version is worth the added cost.

Big fan of the F&F movies, we'll be seeing 6 next week... Fun fact, our daughter Mia may or may not be named after Mia Toretto from the FF movies :) She's named after Jessica's mom Marian (a sephardic Jewish tradition), but we needed an "M" name so we chose Mia...

Saw Hangover 3 while stuck in San Antonio overnight for work a few nights ago... It's almost like they forgot it was a comedy and that they should make jokes... At least they changed up the format a bit from 1 and 2... Parts of it were funny, but overall it was pretty meh

Man of Steel was just awful.

2.5/10

And White House Down looks like it would struggle to get a 0.5/10

White House Down looks terrible, but I'd rather watch that 10 times back to back than sit though Grown Ups 2.

I think you are being a little generous here. Let's go with a 2. It was indeed awful.

I know that I don't see as many low rent movies as Peabody does, but for the ones that I watch, this was the worst one that I've seen in 10 years.

I saw Star Trek: Into the Darkness. 6.5. Not bad. I'm not a Star Trek fan but the two new ones are fun.
why don't you run back to the sandbox where the rest of the kids are playing so the adults can have a discussion...it's over there....you see Howie, he's over there with PMS knocking over other kids sandcastles...looks like fun.

We're the Millers was pretty funny, and I had zero expectations for it.

Clear History (HBO movie) if you like CYE. Seriously, it was a 90-minute Curb episode.
