I had lunch at Abuelo's Mexican Restaurant today. I don't know if you guys have them or not. I haven't eaten there in probably 10+ years.

It was good.

I wasn't happy though. I ate lunch at like 1:15pm. That's a no-no for me.

I always eat lunch about 11:30am.

Due to circumstances that I couldn't control, I had no choice about my eating time today.

I hate eating lunch during lunch rush hour.

I hate eating a late lunch.

I like Abuelo's. They have good fajitas.

I've never had their fajitas.

Today, I had the chicken quesadilla.

It was really good.

Everything was good.

they had some special green sauce that was hot as hell and really good too.

based off today's experience I will eat there again.

I don't remember why I quit eating there.

Today I had grilled chicken sandwich at Cimarron steak house.

I don't usually eat chicken burger but this thing was down right tasty.

The meat was smoked and juicy. It was actually a really damn big chicken breast.

Sandwich, salad, and fries for just $5.

Can't beat that.

OK so I finally had a chance to eat at % guys to compare to Mooyah.

I will continue to eat at Mooyah and never care if I get 5 guys ever again.

Just the simple fact that it was IN the Galleria was enough to drive me crazy.

The hamburger was not that good, the fries were not better than Mooyah.

I don't know which one was created first but one is an exact rip-off of the other.

I will be eating my burgers at Mooyah and Whataburger.

That is all.

Pigs Feet, Fried Catfish, Collard Greens, Yams, Macaroni & Cheese @ Momma E's

I saw this soul food restaurant on Diners, Drive Ins, and Dives a few weeks ago. Their specialty is Wings and Waffles. I don't find hot wings on top of waffles to appealing, so i opted for the soul food buffet.

Everything was delicious except the pigs feet. I tried to eat them, but I couldn't. It was like trying to eat rubber glued to bone. I honestly don't know how someone could eat it without superpowered teeth. The catfish might have been the best I've ever eaten. The sides were to die for. I highly recommend Momma E's.

My lunch for 3-4 times a week for the past 6 months has been 2 each 4oz containers of Activa Light with 1/4 cup of raisins or dried cherries and 1/4 cup of Bare Naked Granola. I also have either a banana or apple with it.

My favorite activa is vanilla.

I basically make a parfait out of it with the raisins and granola. I really love this "new" lunch.

I've never had a gyro before, so in honor of Mr. Peabody, I had a gyro for lunch today. It was okay. Definitely not something I'd want to eat for 13 days in a row or whatever Mr. P's record is.

come up here and eat at Akropolis with me for lunch. You will get your socks knocked off with their gyro.

I haven't eaten one in a while though.

I've mostly been eating my activia parfait everyday for lunch. I eat it about 4 times a week for lunch b/c I go workout at the ymca during lunch. I love it. makes me fart like a madman too.

Suggest trying out a Turkish restaurant sometime. Their iskender kebab (gyro in Greek) is more flavorful in that they use beef along with lamb, marinated overnight in olive oil, and then grilled on a spit that is then carved in thin slices and typically served with a rich butter tomato sauce, warm pita bread, rice pilaf and yogurt.

I believe it's one of Dogus' favorite dishes. :D

I had a club from Thundercloud yesterday. I probably hadn't eaten at Thundercloud in at least 10 years--it was still as shitty as I remembered.

I had Jersey Mikes today.

It's delicious.

Do you guys have them?

I had Jack in the Box last week for the 1st time ever. They recently opened one up here. I had the tacos.

They were terrible. I opened them up to look at the meat. I only saw some kind of paste. It could have been canned cat food or dog food possibly.

Jersey Mike's is good, but I prefer Firehouse.

Don't have firehouse.

Is it local or a chain?

Firehouse is a chain. The turkey bacon ranch is solid.

I think Jimmy John's is my favorite sandwich place now. Super fast and the bread has always been super soft and fresh. I'm out on toasted bread places.

Ditto to every word. Only place I cheat on JJ with occasionally is Which Wich, but my heart never leaves the Vito from JJ.

Great Outdoors still takes the cake for me. As for the chain type places I'm still pretty partial to Jersey Mikes, but do like Jimmy Johns too even though their commercials are almost enough to keep me away.

JJ is not good.

Way too much lettuce adn not enough cold cuts.

I have to get the bootlegger to get the double meat and there still isn't much.

Potbelly, Which Wich and Jason's Deli dominate JJ.
why don't you run back to the sandbox where the rest of the kids are playing so the adults can have a discussion...it's over there....you see Howie, he's over there with PMS knocking over other kids sandcastles...looks like fun.

Firehouse and T-Cloud for me, and if it weren't so inconvenient I'd do jersey Mike's at least once a week.

New sandwich place in downtown Dallas called Capriati's. Literally the best sandwich I've ever had. Seth, we need to meet up there soon. They have one sandwich that is called 'The Bobbie', it's turkey, dressing and cranberry sauce on a homemade roll. Awesome. My favorite is the 'Slaw Be Joe", roast beef and coke slaw on a homemade roll.

Hands down best sandwich in Dallas....and beyond.
