Google glass

Postby eochs on Wed Mar 05, 2014 10:24 am

Borrow google glass for a week from a buddy of mine. Will be using it at sxsw interactive and working in the Rackspace booth. After 1 day my review is that this thing is very beta, very clunky, and feel completely self conscious when wearing it. Look like even more of a douchebag with it on. That being said, it's pretty cool and in 3-5 years could really be something

Have had a pair for a few months, and it's pretty amazing technology for personal use, but the potential commercial uses are even more impressive. I wear them around the house and sometimes in my car, but wouldn't dare wear them in public due to the existing stigma, which I don't get, but it's certainly there!!!

Laying on the couch watching whatever while your e-mail or Twitter feed just rolls across a screen in your peripheral view is pretty awesome.

The most amazing application is the translation software....you could be looking at a menu written in say Russian and it comes up translated in your Glass screen. Awesome.

That's the best marketing for Google Glass I've ever heard.

Hey asshole. I tried to hook up with you on that stupid Linked In thing. You are now on my naughty list. Lump of coal for you, fucktard.

FYI, I wouldn't have joined, but some guy I'm trying to pick up as a client sent me an invite. I joined up and accepted the invite hoping it would lead to some sales. In the past, I've just deleted the emails asking to accept an invite. Play the game bitch, or I will skin you alive one of these days.

Am I wrong or is LinkedIn basically for job seekers?

Not at all......if you're in sales, it's invaluable.

And I never really thought of Google Glass as Redneck repellant.....think that application just trumped that whole translation app......running home to grab those now!!!

It's great for sales and for finding applicants to hire from rival companies.
