New job!

Postby BevoisaSoxFan on Thu Sep 13, 2012 9:55 am

So I think alot of you know that I got layed off from my software sales job back in February and since then made a decision to have a go at becoming a full-time sports (mostly soccer) journalist and broadcaster. Just wanted to share the news that I was offered a job by ESPN to be a Blog Editor on ESPN.com. It'll be for ESPN FC which is their soccer page. I'm technically not going to be a full-time employee but instead will be an independent contractor, but it'll still be pretty close to full-time stuff. Needless to say, pretty psyched about it.

Make sure to write a good story about my Bob Jones Bruins.

Congratulations!
why don't you run back to the sandbox where the rest of the kids are playing so the adults can have a discussion...it's over there....you see Howie, he's over there with PMS knocking over other kids sandcastles...looks like fun.

Welcome to the evil empire! If you're ever in Bristol, shoot me a note. I can say with 100 percent certainty that ESPN is committed to soccer. I worked on the Euros from Bristol this year and we produced some great content.

Kick ass. No bad stuff about the Spurs unless AVB falls on his face, in which case bombs away.

Thanks everyone! Atl, I'm suppose to go to Bristol for a day of training but still don't know when that'll be.

Realize I'm late to the party, but congrats Arch! Willing to bet that many of us have hoped to turn our sports passion into a career at one point or another--hope all goes well!
