Robbi in the hospital

Postby HornMafia on Tue Apr 24, 2012 7:22 am

For those of you not on Facebook or who don't check it very often, Robbi is in the hospital after falling on her way into work.

Unfortunately, it was pretty much a direct hit on her stomach, but after an agonizing day yesterday it does appear that her and baby Craig are okay, they just want to keep her for observation because there is a risk of going into labor after a major trauma like that.

Thanks to those that reached out yesterday, it made a trying day a little easier.

Robbi in the hospital

Thank you for the good thoughts. It was a scary day.
I'm home and everything appears to be okay. I'll be on moderate bed rest for the week and then I can go back to work on Monday.
They gave me two doses of steroids to mature his lungs just in case he arrives early.

Glad to hear everything is okay. Scary, scary stuff. Same thing happened to my sister-in-law last month. Sounds like you have a strong little guy in there.

Glad you (both) are OK.

That must have been some serious fall. What happened?

Robbi in the hospital

Postby LMQueen on Tue Apr 24, 2012 5:06 pm

I really do feel like a total idiot because there is no good reason I fell.
I had just gotten out of the car and was walking into my building at about 7:45 in the morning. Of course I had my purse in one hand, a tote bag on the other arm and was carrying a big fountain drink. I just stumbled forward an couldn't stop myself. Went splat right on my belly. I scraped my left knee and left elbow pretty good, but it was pretty much a straight forward fall.
I'm going to lighten my load and no more wedges, only flat shoes from now on!
